More iPhone 5S Parts Leaked

The last few months have been a blur of leaked images and videos, of the iPad 5, the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S.  Today we have more of the iPhone 5S , courtesy of Moumantai, a Japanese vendor. The images include the Nano SIM card tray, speaker button and  flex cables for the charger, front camera, home button, vibrate, speaker, On/Off and Wi-Fi.

What does stand out is that, despite numerous rumors, there is no evidence of a fingerprint sensor on the Home button flex. This is the one component that was said to be causing huge delays to the production of the iPhone 5S. Evidence of support has been discovered in iOS beta 4, leading many to believe that the feature will be evident on the next iPhone.

Of course, it could be that, as already reported, the fingerprint sensor will be incorporated in the display as a touch screen feature rather than into the Home button. On the other hand, it could be that these images are for components of the iPhone 5C and not the iPhone 5S – there is nothing on them that identifies which model they are for.

The Home button design is almost the same as the iPhone 5 except the flex cable is longer and a different shape. This might mean the logic board will be in a different position as it’s the cable that connects the two parts.  The vibrator flex cable also has the mute switch and volume controllers on it.

The fact that the image leaks are getting closer together and more prolific is usually a pretty good indicator that we are close to release. It’s expected that Apple will hold a media event around the 10th September where their new lineup will be revealed, with release following a week or so later.
