How to Install Google Chrome OS in Windows 7

Few days back i wrote about the launch of Google Chromium Operating System , an Ubuntu google-chrome-os-od0-460 based free for all OS.The beta release is not available to the general public but in torrents.

Once you have downloaded the .vmdk file you may run it from inside your windows using virtual PC software available freely from sun micro systems site.

What is Virtual Box ?

Sun Virtual BoxVirtual Box is an virtualization software package, developed by Sun Microsystems that can be installed on an existing host operating system; within this application, additional operating systems, each known as a Guest OS, can be loaded and run, each with its own virtual environment. It allocates hard disk space and RAM and creates a virtual environment for the other operating system to run from inside a host OS already running in the background.

In this step by step tutorial i will explain how you can install and use Google Chromium on your Windows 7 system.
