How to connect your your Nokia 5800 Xpress Music with your Wi-Fi Router

While connecting to the web over WiFi you may get errors like “No Gateway Reply”. This is very common problem among Nokia 5800 users.They start to panic just after having bought a $300 mobile phone.This error happens with some routers as they are not configured to automatically assign a Dynamic IP address to your Nokia Device.

Follow the steps as explained below to stat surfing the we on your mobile:

  1. Type 192.168.1.1 to open your router admin page.
  2. Navigate to WAN setup.
  3. Find DHCP configuration and enable it. Ip range within 192.168.1.2 – 192.168.1.254.
  4. Again move to WAN Setup and create New connection or Edit existing one.
  5. Set type to PPoe VPI = 0 and VCI = 35 . Enter your login username and password for internet connection provided by your ISP.
  6. Delete all other existing connections.
  7. Reboot your modem for the changes to take place.
